IN HOUSE MILLING SYSTEM To produce stable and efficient suspension concentrates within the Agrochemical and Public Health market, requires exceptionally high levels of energy, that is, if using conventional bead mills. However, the milling system used by Sub Micron Industries generates exceptionally low energy levels in comparison. Our unique milling system is specifically designed for use with Agrochemical and public health technicals, and is exclusively used by Sub Micron Industries. In fact, it is so exclusive that it has been designed and built on our own site in Huddersfield, using our own internal engineering and design team. Our unique milling system is so energy efficient, that no cooling is required during its operation. Unlike conventional bead mills and milling machinery, where over 80% of used energy is transferred into heat and machine wear, our unique milling system transfers over 90% of used energy into energising and reducing the particles in a continuous flow path, without need of re-circulation. It is not unusual to observe bead mills in Agrochemical production, being used with chamber/grind zone capacity in excess of 150 to 200 litres and fitted with 125kW motors. In comparison, Sub Micron Industries’ unique milling system, operates using only 15kW motors, with less than 5 litre grind zone capacity.
